This site is a tribute to Peter Berry’s life and to how he enriched ours. It includes stories, photos, reflections, and poems that illuminate the many facets of his full life, deep relationships, and soulful works of art. We miss him so much.
Additional remembrances to memorialize Pete are welcome, and we also continue to hope that a face-to-face celebration will become possible in the future. Memorial contributions may always be made to the Peter Berry Ceramics Scholarship, the Wellspring Cooperative, or Resist.
In the meantime, he is with us in the woods, at the protests, on the athletic fields, and in the Lebanese restaurants. Weren’t we lucky to have him.

Obituary
Peter Berry, a Cambridge artist, teacher, activist, athlete, union organizer, and beloved partner, brother, uncle and friend, died of an aggressive cancer on March 9, 2020. He was 62.
Peter was a gentle, compassionate man who bonded easily with people and established deep and meaningful relationships that lasted a lifetime. Warm and non-judgmental, he became a confidante for many. His wonderful wit, modesty, and attention to detail appeared in everything he did—his union organizing, his ceramic artwork, and the house he built with the help of his loving parents and his life partner of 35 years, Andy Nash.
